In order to facilitate the public in interacting with various government departments / agencies; the government of Punjab has established Citizen Facilitation and Service Centers (e-Khidmat Markaz). The services offered by many federal and provincial level organizations are combined under one roof so that the public at large may get benefit from these centers.
The 17 services currently being offered at centers include Birth / Death / Marriage / Divorce Certificates, Fard Issuance (record only), Domicile Certificate, Issuance of Route Permit, Motor Vehicle Registration, Token Tax Collection, Vehicle Transfer of Ownership, Character Certificate, Learner Driving License and Traffic Fine Collection, CNIC, NICOP, NADRA e-Sahulat (Utility Bills Collection, Mobile Cards, Mobile Bills Payment and CNIC Verification), Issuance of e-Stamp Papers, Banking Services and General Post Office Services.
PITB will establish 10 e-Khidmat centres in 9 divisional headquarters of the Punjab by June 2018 out of which 8 centres (2 in Lahore and 1 each in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur have become fully operational. Rest of the 2 center in Multan and DG Khan will be operational by June 2018. Furthermore, 27 centres in all districts (except Divisional HQs of the province) will also be established by the end of this calendar year. Other provinces and federal departments have also approached the PITB for replicating the model in their jurisdictions.
